St. John has set a goal to encourage the congregation to make special, designated contributions in the next year to purchase TWO Life Pumps for villages in Malawi, Africa. That would mean St. John helping to provide long-term safe drinking water for many. Two pumps will cost $30,000, and this is our goal in addition to the $2400 St. John has already contributed to support the missionaries of this project in Malawi. If you’d like to make a special contribution to Life Pump support, indicate “Life Pump” on your contribution.
Pay It Forward. St. John periodically sets aside funds to be given to two or three member families. The funds are given so that families can help others in some way. After the families help others, they report back to the congregation what was done with the funds. This is a way for members to entrust money to fellow members, and to trust that they discern how the Lord is leading them to "pay it forward".
